I am a Christian Republican who cares about private property rights. This is why I, along with my Republican friends and family members, would like to formally condemn Jesus Christ for rioting and destroying the private property of local businesses.
And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the money changers, and the seats of them that sold doves, And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.
Matthew 21: 12-13
Why didn’t Jesus PEACEFULLY protest? Why did he resort to violent behavior? He could have asked them to kindly pack up their businesses…he could have PEACEFULLY petitioned with officials to enact legislative change re: having private businesses near houses of worship, or he could have simply started a PEACEFUL hashtag and hoped it would trend.
Jesus Christ, you disappoint me with your utter lack of regard for private property.
