Conservatives across America rejoiced with unparalleled delight on Sunday, July 17, 2022, after an armed civilian stopped a mass shooter from murdering more than 3 people in a mall in Greenwood, Indiana.
“It was a great day for us,” exclaimed one guns rights activist.
“We’ve long held the belief that the only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is with a good guy with a gun. And now we finally have the proof! Yes, it took 100s of mass shootings and 1000s of gun deaths but we’ve finally made it,” continued Mr. Nate Reuben Anderson, more informally known to his friends as Lil’ NRA.
As conservatives continue to hold on to this outlier of a datapoint to support the debunked hypothesis that the cure to mass shootings are ‘good guys with guns’, mass shootings will inevitably continue without ‘good guy with guns’ coming to the rescue.
For more context, check out the following database.
Conservatives will remain silent until a ‘good guy with a gun’ finally shows up a few 100 shootings later and ends an assault (after a few murders have taken place, no doubt), where they will herald the National Rifle Association propaganda like zombies, “The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun, is a good guy with a gun 🧟 The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun, is a good guy with a gun 🧟 The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun, is a good guy with a gun 🧟 The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun, is a good guy with a gun 🧟 The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun, is a good guy with a gun 🧟”
Bear in mind, even in this case, 3 people were murdered and two others injured. The ‘good guy with a gun’ didn’t theoretically prevent the shooting. People still died. People still got hurt. People were still terrorized.
I’ll leave it at that.

If you enjoy discussing politics, I want to invite you to join my Facebook group – Civil Political Discourse. Facebook interviewed me personally back in October, 2020, and commended me for being able to host and facilitate healthy, political conversations. My group is sorely lacking a robust Democratic/Progressive presence, so if you fall on the left side of the isle, I doubly encourage you to join.
