“It makes you wonder what the thirty pieces of silver were that Speaker Pelosi promised for this betrayal,” wrote Franklin Graham in a Facebook post when addressing the 2nd impeachment of Donald J. Trump. He compared the House Republicans who voted to impeach Trump to Judas Iscariot – the disciple who betrayed Jesus Christ for thirty pieces of silver.

I am a Republican who firmly believes that it is apt to draw a direct comparison between the holiest and most honorable man of all time, Jesus Christ, and Donald J. Trump.

Trump is such an honorable husband that he decided to share his greatness with not one, but three different women and father children with each of them. Clearly, he respects the institution of marriage and fidelity so much that he wanted to share it with multiple women.

In the same way that Jesus wasn’t ashamed to been seen in the presence of prostitutes, neither was Donald J. Trump. In fact, I would argue that Trump has a leg up on Jesus in this regard. Trump spent time with prostitutes as well and even paid one prostitute a hefty sum of money – something that Jesus did not do. Sure, not committing adultery is *technically* a commandment in the Bible, but we should all make an exception for Trump.

Going to church on a weekly basis, though commanded in the Bible as well, is something that Trump deserves another exception for. True, he hasn’t gone to Church in decades (except for ceremonial events), but that’s because Trump is so smart and divine that he MEMORIZED the entire Bible. Going to Church on a weekly basis would be…gratuitous. Trump possesses biblical wisdom that is equal to or greater than any pastor out there.

Effective July 2020, Trump made over 20,000 false or misleading claims. While in the eyes of a liberal, these may appear to violate the biblical principle of not lying; liberals are missing the context. The Bible clearly states in Trumpheasians 6:66: “Thou shall not lie, unless you are a politician, in which case, you are allowed to lie and mislead others.” Liberals always take things out of context.

There are many, many more reasons why Trump is the perfect–no, the ONLY person to be directly compared to Jesus Christ for, but I’ll leave it at this.

May Trump bless you, may Trump bless the American people, and may Trump bless the United States of America.

PS. Franklin, you’re an excellent judge of character! ❤

If you enjoy discussing politics, I want to invite you to join my Facebook group – Civil Political Discourse. Facebook interviewed me personally back in October, 2020, and commended me for being able to host healthy, political conversations. My group is sorely lacking a robust Democratic/Progressive presence, so if you fall on the left side of the isle, I doubly encourage you to join.
