Mutually assured destruction (MAD) is a military strategy that essentially dictates, “If you do X, I will do Y, and then we’re both equally screwed with outcome Z.”
Both Trump & Biden should be grateful that Moderator Chris Wallace didn’t talk about the numerous sexual allegations about Trump or the ones about Biden.
Because at the end of the day, there really isn’t a good way to get out of that discussion unscathed for either of these candidates. It’s an extremely messy and grotesque conversation to have, especially in a public forum in light of the #MeToo movement.
What can Biden say? “At least I didn’t sexually assault 26 people?”
I don’t think that would go over too well with any audience.
Fun Fact: America did have two candidates with zero sexual assault allegations, Libertarian Presidential candidate Jo Jorgensen & Green Party Presidential candidate Howie Hawkins.
